30 before 30

30 x 30 in 3 yrs.
Three years to complete this list of things I have been putting off for the longest time.

  1. Make homemade bread. DONE! June 2014
  2. Take my mom and dad on a trip somewhere they'd never go on their own.
  3. Read all the books of the Bible.
  4. Go to a drive-in movie.  DONE! Oct 2013
  5. Pay off a major chunk of my student loan debt.
  6. Take a road trip, that involves several states. DONE! and DONE! May/July 2014
  7. Learn to crochet.
  8. Find a Meetup or local group for fellowship or hobby.
  9. Learn Spanish well enough to converse with family. 
  10. Cook a proper 3-course meal.
  11. Find a church homeDONE! Feb 2014.
  12. Camp somewhere in the sticks with my husband.
  13. Enjoy a full day of being a tourist again in NYC, fall back in love with this city.
  14. Figure this Lupus APS stuff out.
  15. Learn how to use one of the online financial planners (like mint, pageonce, manilla, etc).
  16. Make a pot/pan organization system in the kitchen.
  17. Sleep under the stars.
  18. Find space to garden. DONE! June 2014
  19. Refinish a piece of furniture.
  20. Get wisdom teeth removed/resolve dental issues. DONE! July 2014
  21. Make use of the roof- garden/lounge area/something.
  22. Learn to make something with a sewing machine.
  23. Become a morning person. DONE! Nov 2013
  24. Watch a live show or taping of a television show.
  25. Learn to cook a turkey.
  26. Have or attend a bonfire.
  27. Have a good answer for 'what do you enjoy doing in your spare time' besides "ummmmm..".
  28. Interview three people over 50 years of age.
  29. Make a piece of art.
  30. Visit the Pacific Ocean. DONE! May 2014
Bonus items, putting these into God's hands.
  1. Make a baby.
  2. Buy a house/condo/apartment.
  3. Be a stay-at-home mom.
  4. Find an outlet that earns money from home.
  5. Book a last minute ticket to anywhere. Take time off work for vacation, and look for deals a few days before.

This list will self destruct on Sept 4, 2016.

    I have mum's recipe here, in NYC
    when I am still transitioning between jobs (more professionally to say than just “looking for a real career” or “unemployed :) come over one day next week and we learn how to make bread )) I have even special containers for bread ))
    and I have my grandma’s apricot jam ))) yummy from Ukraine from her garden
    and of course there was always tea … ))

      Our moms are very much alike, I have some orange apricot jam in my fridge from last season's harvest too. As long as you mention that delicious tea, I will be there. And even if not, I will be there :)
